As someone else has already said, if we can't sign a decent loan player when we're near the top of the Championship we're unlikely ever to be able to.

The trouble is that players who would come on loan would want to be convinced they're going to get a lot of game team. With an undefeated team at the top of the league that isn't a promise we can make at the moment.

Really? With Baldock out, and Bobby only able to play an hour? Couldn't we fit a striker in there somewhere?

Maybe the powers that be are hoping Harper and Hambo can fill this void - but that would be a gamble.

If that was the thought, then one or other would have been in the Matchday squad last weekend.
