Went to Glastonwick today, awesome line up, highlights for me were Test tubes, always good and the Piranhas, back more to there punk roots than the evolving ska sound.

East India Youth this evening, I've really grown into the record on subsequent spins.

Anyone going to see Follakzoid at The Joker on Thursday, get there to see Merlin Tonto. It'll be the fourth time I've seen them in little over 2 weeks but their set really is something at the moment.

I read this yesterday, I'm nowhere near this chap, I doff my metphorical cap to him.

I have a friend called Mo who lives in Dubai, who I tend to see at bigger festivals and for a month a year when he comes over to go gigging. He's about 6' 4" and has a massive afro. You genuinely couldn't miss him. He's similarly in there from always going to shows - we saw Swans in London a few years back and Michael Gira just started tapping him on the shoulder and talking to him. I was quite glad, I'm not sure I could have spoken, even if I'd needed to.

Yeah, this fellas tinnitus must be like an eternal Blanck Mass soundtrack. Talking of BM, I'm listening to this at the mo.
http://secretthirteen.org/blanck-mass-****-buttons-music-mix-review/ - a slight departure from his other mixes.

Got tickets for Wand at Green Door this morning. Very reasonable for a band that'll be going places I think. Lovely bit of psych rock. Heavy and dreamy all at once.

Really enjoyed East India Youth last night, the new album has served to bolster what was already an impressive bunch of songs. He's an excellent writer and performer.

I think Follakzoid has the potential to be gig of the year tonight. Their iii record has been on heavy rotation and I can't think of a better environment to see them than a small, dark, hot and sweaty club. In support, Merlin Tonto are one of the best acts in Brighton at the moment.

I saw him a few weeks back and concur. He's a real talent, seemingly bursting with ideas, and I like the fact he considers the visual aspect of his show (and himself) as well. The bit where he sings Carousel away from his set-up with a standing mike was a good touch. A complete artist

It it will be interesting to see where he goes next.
