You are, aren't you? Thought I was...

So, Earth - I see Gruff Rhys has done something with them. Any good? Sold out? Recommended?

That looked like a bizzare combo, it's The Earth who are a band featuring some of Catatonia from the looks of my googling.

Earth are an aquired taste, slow, droney guitar soundscapes; though material since their reformation in 2003 has incorparated more traditional "rock" instrumentation.

Dylan Carson (of Earth) purchased the shotgun that Kurt Cobain killed himself with, fact fans.

Just checked the gig and it clashes with Furyon at the Concorde, shame, they sound pretty good. Very sludgy indeed.

And Stara Rzeka should appeal to you - http://www.brightonnoise.co.uk/listing/?p=100814

"His album “Cień Chmury Nad Ukrytym Polem” was recently placed at number 12 in a list of the best releases of the year by The Quietus, for music fusing mysterious folk with black metal, drone, kosmische and magic brutalism."

Batshit crazy and really good.

Bloomin' 'eck, not another one to add to the list!

Was thinking of shooting up to London Fri to catch Earth as I missed them last time but also want to see the Leeds game.

Will also be at Nisennenmondai tonite, then JAMC Mon and Pins on Wed . . .

Ok, I wasn't totally blown away.... Impressive, good, enjoyable even but a fair way off expectations for me.

(Please tell me they didn't play an encore)

Know what you mean, I loved the trancy hypnotic minimalism but was maybe expecting something a bit more edgy.

And I could lie . . . but no, the lights had come up by the time I left and no sign of the band reappearing. The raver next to me was a bit miffed when I saw him on the stairs afterwards . . .

Well this is fun...

Was all set to be going to Ryan Adams, just trying out my earplugs after giving them a wash. Sadly the little filter that goes in them didn't come out with the rest of the plug and is now lodged down my ear canal. So at the moment doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere for a while - until I can get it out. For ****s sake!

Adam Ant playing Dirk Wears White Sox in full at Concorde 2 8th April. Got to be worth it for some Cartrouble alone? A friend went to this in London before Christmas and rated it highly despite the cheesy hits section at the end.

Did you get it out and make the gig? It was superb with a great mix of old and new finishing with a rousing come pick me up.

Just realised I'm not in town when Villagers play TOM in April. Bit gutted.😁

Excuse me posting across threads.

First few bands announced for Indietracks 2015, and it's already looking pretty unmissable.

We’re incredibly excited to say that The Go! Team, Cinerama, Martha, Tigercats and Euros Childs are among the first 17 artists to be confirmed for this year’s Indietracks.

Joining them on the bill today are Desperate Journalist, Mammoth Penguins, The School, Bunnygrunt, The Catenary Wires, The Tuts, Los Bonsáis, Fire Island Pines, The Fireworks, JUNK., The Leaf Library and Eureka California. Dozens more artists will be added to the bill shortly.
