Make sure you catch the support- saw them play with Factory Floor and they were excellent. Can't remember their name though!

That is quite a start.

Deafheaven really impressed me at Primavera, I'm pretty harsh on these "hipster BM" outfits as well.

There's a good free gig at the Green Door tomorrow - Eaux, previously called Sian Alice Band. I remember them supporting Deerhunter at the Concorde in their previous guise and enjoying them. The song they have released off their forthcoming record is excellent IMHO.

A link to a track and some nice words here - http://www.atpfestival.com/artist/eaux.php

Little Barrie were great at The Bermuda Triangle last night. Full of energy and passion and bluesy rocky guitar. The Bermuda Triangle is a tiny venue (and it stirred memories - was it once The Zap?), and very intimate. Especially welcome following the monolithic Earls Court for Arcade Fire last Friday.

Just fitted a couple of lights and painted the bathroom whilst listening to this weeks show. Another great mix. I am going to check out Ought and their April release. Keep up the excellent work- am discovering some decent new music.

I was impressed with the venue. Good acoustics. The sort of venue that Brighton is crying out for to bridge the gap between the Concorde and the Dome. The only downside was the lack of bar staff.

It seems that a few more bands could be using it as a venue. The Horrors playing there in October.

NSC favourite Ty Segall has just announced a string of German dates. Not seen any UK ones but I presume he will be heading your way as well.

New album in August I believe. In addition he produces the new White Fence record as well, which is due soon.

They were amazing as always at Primavera, new stuff sounded more Slaughterhouse than Sleeper. His gig at the Green Door Store a few years ago was one of my all time faves. It seems Mr Petridis agreed with that - http://www.theguardian.com/music/2012/aug/02/ty-segall-review

The one at Sticky Mike's 18 months before that was amazing.

What I'm trying to say folks, is if he comes to Brighton, go.

He hit the roof at GDS. Literally, metaphorically, and in a good way.
