Great game so far - end to end, running rugby, some tight decisions.

Hopefully a similar 2nd half, albeit with a different team on top at the end.

Nowell and Williams are liabilities in this game. Williams now yellow-carded....

It's going to be a big ask to come back from this now.

Great running rugby with brilliant offloading for the winning try for the Blues.

And they're the worst franchise team.

It could be a long tour...

Better performance that Saturday and one bit of brilliance undid us......we are a little one dimensional .....just as an aside Barnes always seems so negative

What a load of overblown hullabaloo, to be honest I've been sick of the ridiculously overblown build up to an event which was always going to be so predicatable, a white-wash to the All-Blacks. Perhaps at least we could compete and win a few of the other matches but potentially they could now come home with only a single win on the entire tour. Absolutely embarrassing.

Send them home now.

They showed some guts when down to 14 players, but the Blues were excellent and deserved the win for their style of rugby.

It could have been a lot worse had the Blues not knocked on in the 2nd half with the try line beckoning.

Even though a lot of players were rested, it's going to be much harder on Saturday.

You're right re Barnes!

One of the paradoxes here is that the NZ team(s) are too good. I remember reading an article a while back about the Rugby Championship and the Bledisloe Cup (which forms part of it), ratings and sponsors were starting to pull out because the figures were down (NZ having won it continually since 2003). The cakewalk effect also meant brands weren't keen on being associated with Australia.

It's a balance sheet discussion but the commercial aspect to the tour really earns a lot of money for the host nation. I'm watching Sky trying to sell the upcoming matches and their experts are working overtime trying to point out that being beaten by the weakest NZ club side is somehow not all that bad and means the matches against the other club sides and the ABs will somehow be 'easier' because of it.

Nuh-uh.

I only played rugby for a short time and one of the most prominent differences of it from football is that you need a team which has played together, it really stands out. Add into this that you are in NZ where the standards are that bit higher and it could go very badly for the Lions. Lose the rest of the matches and I wonder if the sponsors will be interested anymore (and it's the sponsors which make any of this possible).

It's a great start, but running into the elbows of our own players will only make it harder for us!
