Bit of fun for family audiences. I like it. I have much bigger issues with “the modern match day experience” than this. I think it’s cool.

Yep stick it in the bin along with fanzone. Both had their day. Get some atmospheric tunes going as the build up.

Ps) anyone else noticed that Richie Reynolds has lost it a bit? Or is that a bit harsh. I see he is still going with the Mick Small joke announcement at half time.
I was cringing when he made that comment about Kent.

I’m just glad the whole ground didn’t short circuit on 39 minutes, necessitating Gully going in the under stair cupboard and trying to work out which button to press using his iPhone light.

Must have missed it. Doubt I'd have minded it. Would never feel the need to make sure I saw it.
Unless they did a light show where they set Richie Reynolds on fire.

Just stay at home then
Or just stop with the American “entertainment” shit,

Asthma sufferers must be affected
The cranked up sound system is shit and painful to listen to

Maybe old people just enjoy an atmosphere to build in the stadium without ra ra shit

Just my opinion, others may have different ones

My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved tonight.

She laughed, giggled, celebrated, got stressed, annoyed, nervous and then relieved within the space of 2 hours.

It was one of the few times that we've been able to enjoy an evening game without having to think about getting home at a reasonable time because of school.

And it certainly made my life easier!

Football is changing. Either embrace it or don't watch it and stay in the concourse until KO and leave at the final whistle. There was plenty of warning it would happen after the game and the players had almost left the pitch when it started.

A new generation is coming. Football has evolved. The Goldstone and Withdean are long in the past.

There is no way I'd be able to take my girl to an evening game and her to stay the duration during the Withdean era.

And I'm all for it👍. It's nights like this that will cement our wonderful club in the hearts of generations to come that will help it survive when we're gone.

Flashing lights? Pfft. More important things happening....

We're not at a decrepit stadium anymore, we no longer have an athletics track surrounding our pitch. It's our stadium, our club & while we're telling the younger generation 'it wasn't like that in our day', they're thinking there's no way they would have gone to a match at the place where half of them have their school sports days. As far as I'm concerned the club can invite bonfire societies to practice fireworks pre match & light show companies to have a go post match.
We've been at the Amex for 12 years & it still seems 'new' (I'd like the blue roof back though). I bought my Jnr a new hat for Xmas the one with the Europa badge on as well as the Brighton one. I know he wont wear it (I don't think I want him too). He has his hat, that he's had since 2012, he's been bullied for his hat in school, his hat has a hole in it from being thrown across the playground. I told him to take another hat, he didn't. I will never say to him 'why don't you wear your new hat', his old hat symbolises loyalty, belief & not caving into peer pressure. We have a lost generation of fans, we need to keep them as football is a funny old game.

They should read the room 4-0 and Roberto would have been lapping it up like Marseille. The fact he was fuming the players weren’t enjoying it as much as usual and it seemed an occasion for an organic send off last night rather than the usual FFD Light show.

The pre-game lightshow was horrendously naff.
Seemed that one half of the East stands weren't working and the ones that were working were underwhelming.

Palace's lightshow was "better" but the whole idea is pointless.

I don’t watch it so can’t comment on it.

I do wish they’d stop using the same old same old songs at the end of each game. Be imaginative and come up with something else.
