Am I the only one who actually liked it the way it was? The 'all-weather' football pitch was brilliant in the winter. I'm not going to complain TOO much though as my default position is always to support any development in Brighton, from the new ice rink at Black Rock down to the humblest Tesco's Express.

Hopefully they'll dig a friggin great hole to sweep the street drinkers and shitbag druggies into, alas knowing Brighton there will probably be a solar powered Eco friendly needle exchange kiosk and drop in centre for recovering shoplifters made of sustainable free range Namibian noncewood.

hahahaha

Looking at old pictures from when it was first built, I thought the original park was wonderful, and in order to qualify for this grant, they've had to have a plan to retain many of its original features. It's not as though they could just do exactly what they wanted.

But... I thought it had fallen into a state of disrepair. It's one of the few places in the city where I feel I'm always on my guard - more so than usual.

As long as they don't bring these things back...

It just doesn't look right to me, I thought the spire was at the north end of the church, but saying that I haven't been down that way, for well, years actually. Weird living in a town how rarely you actually go to some parts of it.

nah the spire is at the southern end....it's my church (starting to look beautiful on the inside, still needs work though)

By the look of thge plans they seem to be doing nothing more than putting in some flowerbeds (in the regency style that is in my opinion overly designed) and tishing up the skatepark a bit. The other three quarters looks exactly the same! They want to get onto that wastelend up by the marina that used to be black rock swimming pool. It's a disgrace and considering it's next to what is supposed to be one of Brighton's biggest attractions it's a wonder they have left it derelict for so long. They've already had one lot of Pikeys move in down there. I mean CHRIST! DID DIANA DIE FOR NOTHING!!!!!!

Gadzooks! (There's a word from my comic book past!) you are wasted on here with that kind of membership.

All right, hands up, in reality just Edward Lear and Spike Milligan!
