I've seen Albion play a lot worse than last night. It wasn't the most exciting game, but a home point against a team in a playoff position with all our injuries is not that bad a result.
I too would like to see less long balls and better passing, but it might be fair to say that with three new guys (Thomson, Murray and Bowditch) the team has not played together for long and should be given a chance to settle in.
And if we win out three games in hand we would be in a playoff position!!!

You're not a supporter if you decide not to come because we're playing badly...

WE ARE MID TABLE, IN LEAGUE 1....

Good riddance I say... (but yes it was awful, but isn't that just football?)

I'm a supporter who can no longer justify expenditure on watching a poor team with an inept manager.

If i was LOADED, you wouldn't hear me moaning half as much. If tickets weren't so overpriced, i wouldn't feel nearly as hacked off.

I wish i had the patience of some of you lot who seem to enjoy watching dire matches, on the grounds that 'it's all about next season'. I don't expect amazing performances each week, but i do expect the team to attempt to win games, to try and play good football, and to be managed by someone who doesn't make basic cock-ups in every other match.

Admittedly "i'm not going again" post last night might have been a little rash - my financial position might change, or we might by some miracle mount a play-off charge. Even if we were drawn into a relegation battle i'd be back, because the games would be of real importance. Last night though, the 'a draw will due' approach was evident, showing a real lack of ambition. That's not for me i'm afraid.

So basically, your moaning and gratuitous whinging is down to the fact that you haven't got enough money, rather than any major defect in the team/club/players/officials?

 'moan moan moan'

No - i'm sick of one man in particular pissing me off to the extent that i now see going to Withdean as a waste of money.

If i was MINTED, i'd go whatever - i don't really have anything better to do on Saturdays, and generally enjoy being at the football, even if in recent times i've come home bloody annoyed.

Sadly, i'm not made of cash, and there comes a time when you have to say 'enough is enough'. That time is now, sadly.

I can never understand why people moan about how crap Withdean is, yet expect us to continually attract top name players, and more importantly top name managers.
Seeing as we are meant to be supporters of the Albion we should be able to see past the crap environments, players/managers have alternatives!
Your choice to not support the Albion, just as any number of palyers/managers will choose not to join us until we can offer better prospects.

I genuinely think that's a real shame.

90 minutes is a long time - you looked quite happy in the pub beforehand!

I really don't think that last night was as bad as you make out and I reckon your frustration is more to do with last Sauturday. If it wasn't for the mad last 4 minutes at Cheltenham, a point last night would have been a decent result against a side who are challenging at the top of the league. 7 points from 3 games.

Because of Cheltenham, last night almost became a 'must-win' and we ended up with 4 points from 3 games. But Tranmere were STILL a decent side who we genuinely worked pretty hard to break down.

Have an early night mate and look at things again tomorrow!

Still up for Huddersfield away on the Tuesday night?:lolol:

Well, that's it as far as i'm concerned. Another customer gone.

Tonight? Well, i paid good money to sit in the freezing cold watching absolute shit. Again.

It's all very well saying a draw against Tranmere isn't a bad result.
But watching us playing for a draw at home is not on.
It's NOT entertaining watching a team who seemingly don't care.
It's NOT entertaining watching a dugout who seemingly haven't got a f***ing clue.

I lost it at Withdean tonight. That's never happened before. Wilkins and subs. Again. Jesus H Christ.

Hart - now, i like Hart, but there is NO WAY that the man is a striker. Jesus wept, he makes Revell look like a chicken WITH a head. No positional sense, no strikers instinct. A joke substitution - the only way it could have been justified would be by putting the impressive Bowditch up front and having him on the wing. There is no doubt Hart can cross a ball and fly into a slide tackle, but can he do much else? I think not.

Mayo - what a f***ing shambles. I've never really understood the 'hate Mayo' thing on here, but what the HELL is the point of bringing on a left back for your centre half 2 minutes from time. At home. What a PATHETIC, negative change. We're at home - GO FOR IT, don't make pointless, woeful subs like that. I have NEVER been so LIVID at a substitution in all my life. NON-LEAGUE.

Robinson - Yep, genius Wilkins. Leaving the man who actually stuck the ball in the net at the weekend OUT of the team. Inspired decision. Two defensive midfielders in the centre of the park, but do we make an ATTACKING change in the middle? Behave.

The result tonight? Not the end of the world, but final confirmation that we're NOT going to challenge for the play-offs. The performance tonight? Boring, dull, and proof that, despite the board/managers insistance, we are NOT even trying to challenge for the play-offs. Absolute crap.

I'm not paying to watch again - the games are meaningless, and i'm going to join the thousands staying away. I won't be missing much. Well, not unless Wilkins packs it in. No effort, no passion, no commitment. I can't be bothered with it, and i'm not the only one. This is why nobody wants to watch us anymore. We're going BACKWARDS with the current management.

Over-reaction? Probably. But one that's been on the cards for a while though. I'll be at the Gillingham game, and the Forest game that i've paid for. Any more than that though...well, if Wilkins doesn't call it a day (which he won't, sadly), it'll take some UNBELIEVABLE signings to make going to Withdean value for money again.

:(

I cannot get to midweek games, but I think this post is very true. The Albion experience under Wilkins is dire in the extreme,as you'd expect from a "manager" who is patently inept.

D'you know,it reminds me of those old Spittin' Images of John Major. You know, where he appears grey all the time, and has no spirit, and is clueless?

There you go.Grey Army,Grey Army!

I don't go to watch on the grounds 'it's all about next season', because it isn't. It's about every season. I've seen much, much worse and I probably will again. I've also seen much better and probably will again. And you can say that about most clubs in the country.

I really don't agree that the players weren't trying or were settling for a draw. There was no evidence of that whatsoever. Just because they didn't play great football doesn't prove they weren't trying. The opposition do have an influence on how you play.

Bang on.

If you don't want to come to Withdean any more then don't. What makes you think anyone here gives a flying f*** what you want to do? You're fed up with dire football and crap facilities. I'm fed up with reading you bitch and moan about absolutely f***ing EVERYTHING.

f*** off and don't come back then you whining f***ing child. It'll make your bitching even less plausible and you even more of an irrelevance,

8 pages would suggest that people actually do give a flying f***...

But as you and so many people seem to be offended by my moaning, i'll try and lighten up if it might cheer a few others up!

xx
