The way peoples attitudes to this labour government seem to be falling through the floor at a velocity that challenges Issac Newtons gravitational pull, Labour is helping Reform more than we know.

After the disaster of the untrustworthy Tory governments, the vagaries and unknown policies of super clown Ed Daveys party, it was vital that Labour proved to be trustworthy and that they kept their promises. It was probably last chance saloon to stop the march of the extremists and to keep them away from reaching significant strength in Parliament.

My gran has voted for Labour for years, and she is very unhappy with them, she is a Waspi and she said Sir Keir and the lady i thought was nice Yvette, have both betrayed her and many others. I am starting to have real fears about who i voted for. Fingers crossed he will sort out all this mess by Easter.

My point wasn't really the stalling, just correcting that it was a recent post-Reeves-budget decision and announcement.

Anyway, hopefully, it does still happen. It's not unusual for a large corporate to play hardball in order to get as much government help as they can.

And, it's in the government's interest to make it happen too, allowing them to announce that they've worked hard to make another large-scale investment come to fruition, bringing economic regeneration and employment.

Just spoke to my gran earlier, she is part of a waspi's group, she think they are planning something big. I have never seen her like this before. Its mad why Keir had even signed a pledge or something according to gran and now gone against it. She said she won't vote for the main two parties at all next time. I have to keep her calm at the moment.
