Didn't take long to get an idea of public opinion just a quick goggle search and the question was answered. Shows that support has slipped a bit but generally the public are more in support than against their strikes, and those of other public sector workers. Much easier to assume that that the majority of people agree with your viewpoint than to do a bit of research though isn't it.

Thanks, it maybe that you missed it, but because of my dyslexia and ADHD, I find it exhausting looking and reading so much, so thanks for your help.
I suspect this data would be very different if I asked a group of people. But we will go with it, for harmony.
I would think being a doctor must be a position of comfort, probably too comfortable, who are they actually accountable to, do you know?

Putting this thread on ignore now.

It's a shame Politics can't be talked about sensibly, rather than constant trolling. Hopefully RBR totally disappears from my sight by doing this

Interesting how you use dyslexia and ADHD as an excuse not to read research others bring into the debate, but you're happy to read it when it suits you. See here

Because they were overpaid originally, under Labour.

As you can see in fig 3

It was time they were brought back inline with there real worth which is all the Tories had done, now labour will inflate them all again when we are still hamstrung from COVID and the fuel crisis.

We are screwed, and Starmer is showing his true colours as predicted by every person old and wise enough to see how this power crazed goon is out of control.

If I was young enough to be having kids now, I would choose not too, as the future in Britain is currently dire, of course unless you are in the public sector lapping up the cream and biscuits.

If you bothered to read the links you would have seen that they did "ask a group of people" quite a large one in fact. I didn't even read the whole articles to be honest, I just looked at the easy to digest images that show the findings.

I don't really understand your comment about who junior doctors are accountable to. The answer is many, including their employers, patients, families, independent review boards and the general public. Much more than anyone who works in the private sector.

Do you know what you maybe behind the private sector for the first time in your life, count yourself lucky, because I could bet your pension and life quality is up there too. Unless you have overspent of course.

The public sector had been smashing the ball out the park, as soon as Blair got in, it wasn't realistic or sustainable, but of course you have negated to show the Blair years.
All those that have strikes so long and hard putting the economy in to a bigger black hole, I have zero sympathy for. The junior Doctors have no empathy with patients. In their roles you need emotional intelligence, which they clearly lack when their patients were being mistreated because of their selfish actions.
I would like to see stats on what the public currently feel about them. Heroes to zeroes I'd say.
What's your area of work / profession out of interest?

I've got that one on ignore. Thinning out the trolls makes this forum more bearable.
I would advise not giving these people personal details about yourself like what you do for a living they are likely to use it against you.

Thanks for your forward slash spacing, that makes it nice to read.

Unfortunately my work is private.
But quite happy to moan and complain about our sector of work though. Bit hypocritical maybe?

Starmer repeatedly said pre-election he’d talk and resolve the Junior Doctor’s dispute. I’m not sure if it was a manifesto item, but even if not it was clear he wanted to resolve it and it was a significant pledge. He won with a landslide. I think this goes someway to showing what the public think.

I think the biggest thing is your sector moan groan and strike, just buckle down and get on with it like most of us do. The waste is immense too. The public sector people I know don't know how good they have it, perhaps you do something different?

Wouldn’t bother sending him research mate. He’ll just use dyslexia and ADHD as an excuse not to read it and educate his incredibly blinkered views on the issue

Well, they haven’t yet finished voting to accept the deal yet, so I understand.
I recall that smarmy git Dr. Rob Laurenson recommending acceptance, but strongly hinting that they should bank the pay rise and consider further possible strike action, once again, next April.
