One of them (the drummer I think), is from Seaford I believe.

Not my kind of thing personally, although they seem competent enough at what they do. I prefer real rock music, not the modern (Kooks, Kaisers, Franz Ferdinand etc..) kind of stuff that people tend to classify as "rock" these days.

I kinda inherited my dad's music taste, so I guess I'm a little old before my time in that respect.

Well overrated IMO. I like em, their album is fairly decent but they have gotten a bit too big for their boots now I think. The NME seemed to have jumped on the bandwagon now also by putting them on the front cover of this week's issue.

I guess its all good though, they're doing their bit for the promotion of the Brighton music scene, we have some good little bands around... The Upper Room, Pipettes, British Sea Power, Young Soul Rebels amongst others. Must note though that only 50% of the Kooks originate from Brighton; Luke and Max I believe are from Londoners and they met the other two at BIMM before forming The Kooks.

I love their look, the singer is the spit of a young Dylan.
They make cracking videos as well, very MTV friendly.
