I was so fu*ked off last night after watching the match, not that we got beat as such, but that we got beat by such a shit team, Watford were crap, hoofball and a pinball goal that was bundled in.

I noticed on the BBC website that even though we had a majority of possession our shots on target was 0, yes 0, zip, nada....... I think Paynter hit the post up the other end second half but that was it.

Same as against west ham we are creating f*ck all and poor old CMS isn't even getting scraps to feed on.

SERIOUS QUESTION: When was the last time we ever scored from a corner or even threatened from one? do we practice them...... again we had a few last night and I said to my brother on two occasions as Harley went to take it second half, "he won't get it past the first defender" and lo and behold on both occasions, the first defender heads it out.

I have to agree about Harley, I want to like him, but so far bar one free kick he has been toilet.

There was a bit of an odd one also last night.

Last year, we played terrific passing football to beat Watford in the cup on a dogs breakfast of a pitch....yet last night on a brilliantly smooth pitch, we couldnt pass the ball well for periods of the game.....

I don't know if Watford had improved so much than last year, or we haven't.

Very little to shout about, but a victory on Sunday and we will soon forget......I am not so sure that Poyet will,this is a very important period IMO as for the first time in Gus s management career he is under some sort of pressure,will be very important to him and us on how he handles himself and the team.My expectation has always been mid table at the very best.

I think Gus should make them watch games from this season when they have been scoring. It might jog the memory about how to actually score goals. Sometimes you don't need to see what you are doing wrong now, but what you were doing right a while back.

I'm sure CMS would love to see the goals he scored and so would alot of the squad. They need builing up, confidence is just not there and has been replaced by panic.

Go back to basics and show them how good they were, they'll get it back.

Yeah totally agree, patronising a team who's confidence is already shot to pieces, is definitely the way forward.

To make matters worse the person driving us back to Manchester took a wrong turn and we ended up heading the wrong way on the motorway.
