i'll just leave this here. for those unaware the author is the same whose tax analysis is used widely by the left to argue there is £120bn pot of money waiting to be redistributed, so accusations of "red Tory" fall flat. in summary, if Corbyn wins, he cannot fulfill the role of opposition so the rebel MPs may have to form one, also predicts labour winning 100 seats in 2020 as optimist. ouch.

27% of the vote is a FABULOUS poll for a supposedly UNELECTABLE hard LEFT candidate

more on the media campaign against Corbyn, had you heard of this triumph he highlighted in his launch speech:
" I'm going to tell you something now you won't have read in any of the papers, because none of them had any space to carry it whatsoever, because they are very, very busy with all the important news of the day.
On Thursday, which is 36 hours ago, so the news should have got through by now, there was a by election in the district of Thanet, in north Kent, a by election in which the Labour candidate Penny Newman took the seat from UKIP and won it for Labour."

its true, the mainstream media completely failed to report a winning a Thanet parish council seat election from UKIP (just a seat, didnt take control of the council). its a conspiracy, we're grossly underestimating the man.

Is Corbyn now so desperate that he and his team are calling a single solitary council seat a "by election"?

I think we all know what a by election is, and this isn't one.

What a sad and pathetic excuse this Labour Party is.

Another case unfounded, no window breaking, no abuse and no break ins, I wonder what LOW the RED Tories will STOOP to next to try and UNDERMINE Comrade Corbyn

I'm no fan of Corbyn but this did appear to be yet another non story.

The press he has received has been remarkable.Literally most negative stories are either untrue or a deliberate attempt to take quotes out of context.

The only story I believe is that he will never be Prime Minister.

That frightens me no end since there is nothing more dangerous that a Government without an opposition, especially one that had left Europe which to an extent at times had acted like an opposition in lieu of our rubbish voting system.

And yet it is difficult. Voted as leader very democratically by a group of people (I suspect) don't actually want power since modern realities blunt their beliefs.

Need a new centre ground party and quick.

It's not even a District Council, it's a Parish Council!

I certainly agree with you about the realities of life blunting their beliefs, but the problem is that Corbyn's mob of trendies and luvvies don't. I think they are desperate to assume power and put their theories into practice, and we will hear at this stage about the need to make things fairer for all and end the disparity between the very rich and the very poor. All very laudable.
When/if the time comes, then the corruption will set in, once they are all-powerful, and assume for themselves the same luxuries that they would deny others -it is, afterall, human nature. Google "Wandlitz in der DDR Zeit" which was the posh suburb in the East German era for those who were rather more equal. Champagne socialists are not given that name for nothing - does anyone seriously think that the young protestors living off daddy's money are going to knuckle down to strict socialist practices and do without their expensive gadgets.
