I don't understand your logic there. I'm just speculating that we want our government (whomever it was) to be able to concentrate on the Brexit deal, and not have to worry about the opposition or lack of mandate etc. If Labour were united and well lead now, they could put pressure on May to call an election, which is not what we need right now. As it is, we know May would win if there was an election, so there's no need for them to do it.

That's generally how I feel, I just think it might be best for the UK if the government are able concentrate on getting the best deal right now, without having to worry about the usual political wrangling between parties.

this is why there will be no split in Labour, he will purge the party of any moderate MPs. also giving the government good reason to push ahead with consituency reorganisation that was previously ditched. with normalised consituency sizes Labour would probably lose a chunk of seats, he must know this so this is suicide. one starts to wonder if this is the objective, it is easier to oppose than to govern. some on the hard left might see it as a necessary evil to ferment revolution, give the country a couple of decades of Tory rule and they'll revolt?

Everyone hates the Blairites. Blairites that made the party electable and won them three GE. Call it 'Tory lite' all you like but I'd rather that than full fat Tory.
Corbyn doesn't belong in New Labour. Old Labour is more his scene and that died years ago.
Come the next GE people will vote for a centralist party, not some socialist utopian dreamland. If Corbyn stays on it'll be Lib Dems as the only center-left option available and therefore the only credible opposition.

Labour infighting must be hurting the Labour party I also wonder if some of UKIP members will return to the fold of other parties or stay with UKIP.
