theres a theory that they will split within the party, even as far as attempting to establish themselfs as the official opposition - which with more members than the Corbynite wing they would be. it follows that most will be deselected, which is probably the fate for most at this point anyway, so they may as well form a new party and fight the next election under that banner. if a break away group can find some form of funding, and keep a rump of the activists in their constituencies, this is quite plausible. Liberals have a mountain to climb to establish their credentials with the same activists and voters who would be swayed to a breakaway, otherwise they would be Liberals already.

Yes, but the wall will already have been flogged off at a loss in the guise of PFI or some such to some foreign investor - who will have plenty of bullets.
