By minutes played Baldock has contributed as many goals as Scott Hogan this season in the Championship, if you include assists and deserves his place on merit.

I have been a bit disappointed by his missed good chances (mostly last season) and his lauded pace (by WA) is not great enough to give defenders problems. Mostly, I would like to see Knockaert in the hole behind Murray or as partner to Murray up front. 4-4-1-1. This against the better teams.

However, I am tipping Baldock to get more on the scoresheet in the second half of the season. Running into space is OK, something that Lualua seems unable or unwilling to do.

So, any transfer news or shall we just rename this the "who is Sam Baldock and what does he do" thread!

If Burnley come in for Dale Stephens which I hope not, could we replace him with Grant Leabitter of Middlesbro who has only played 3 games for them in The Premier but was good in this division

Hmmm. He also said before both of our last two games that Murphy was available, only to say after Birmingham that he wasn't. Which is another way of saying, he's not always keen to tell the truth, despite his generosity of demeanour. I might be wrong on this, but suspect that NooBHA will be able to provide a better overview.

I have been away so don't know anything - I don't think there would have been anything sinister in that statement on Murphy. Probably just after his groin strain there was no need to rush him back into the team because he was well covered in that position. I reckon if he was really needed then would have brought him back sooner. He won't usually tell an outright lie but he can be economical with facts when he wants to be but all seems well and picking up points so no need for worries over anything I wouldn't have thought.

Not much happening so far. In the championship that is.
Obviously we need to replace elvis who as we know has gone back to Holland
Only one of note is
Callum McManaman [West Brom - Sheff Wed] Loan

Wow! I know he only played 10 games for us and the last was 18 months or so ago but I would've thought memories were better than that :lolol:

I see Fat Frank's odds for joining us have closed again.
Would be surprising but potentially a terrific signing to drive us over the line.
