Donnylass took the helm in the kitchen tonight.Roast chicken,smashed tatts,spinach salad.Saved me cracking open another cold tin of beans.

I didnt feel like cooking a roast. It is a good job I have been married for 45+ years so had somebody to cook it for me.

Roast Pheasant, Roast Duck and Pork Chop, sprouts, cabbage, carrots and Aunt Bessies Roast Potatoes. All cooked by me

Pheasant and Duck came from the farm shop Piddinghoe Game

I am not great lover of Pheasant I think it is too rich. Wife once had partidge in The Spread Eagle Hotel in Midhurst and she didnt like that.

If you cant be bothered then the answer is go out for a meal,plenty of pubs and restaurants do roasts at reasonable prices, no preparing, no washing up

Even Morrisons do a very cheap and cheerful roast if your local one has a cafe. Less than a fiver, plenty of it so VFM. Not in the same league as a decent pub sunday roast but you get what you pay for and they even do a half decent apple crumble for afters.

If i cannot be bothered to do a roast i am not bothering to go to a supermarket(after it has already closed on a Sunday as well) to get one or bothering to go to some pub miles away to eat when i don't drive either. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus christ
