The "I'm just back from Luton" thread

Anyway, the first 20 mins or so was similar to the Reading game - nothing much between the two teams, until a bit of a sucker punch goal

That is spot on, exactly like the Reading game, only this time the defensive clanger came down our "rightback" byline instead of the leftback one at Reading. And then we did it again for the second goal - that's game over. Too bad, we don't usually defend as badly as that, thank heavens. Onwards and upwards as the phone-in guy says.

from bbc about ckr booking:

82:50 Booking Foul by Colin Kazim-Richards (Brighton) on Marlon Beresford (Luton). Indirect free kick taken right-footed by Marlon Beresford (Luton) from own half, resulting in open play. Colin Kazim-Richards (Brighton) booked for unsporting behaviour.

We were quite frankly complete Toss.

However, otherwise a cracking evening of entertainment, in which i witnessed Kaney and Scotty M attacked by a fellow Brighton "fan", simply for stating the obvious (that Hammond was a tit for giving the ball away before the third game).

Incidently, how long before the uproar about the Bomber songs?

To be fair Kaney, after getting a slap on the train, really was pushing his luck.

What really did disgust me was the Luton fan who got hit by a Brighton "fan" on the way home.

Were you about five rows back right behind the goal?

I was exactly 5 rows back right in the middle of the goal. I couldn't decide whether I was a "right side" or "left side" Brighton boy. Probably depended on which foot I stood.

I won't pass comment on the two chaps behind me in case they read this.

Ah, but as my great heroine Margaret Thatcher once said, why give 'em the oxygen of publicity?

Er, yes Dawsey....

Now i'm sure they are going to get flamed, but getting threatened for joining in with all the chants but being disgusted by our performance isn't on.

Christ, at half time the whole stand was banging on about how shite Mayo, Turienzo and McCammon was. Definately some moronic "fans" out there tonight

I was directly in front of someone who started laying into both Mayo and McCammon after exactly 5 minutes had gone. Can anyone beat that? :lolol:

MM messed about, but Chelsea we ain't and can't really afford to do it. I suppose it was in preparation for the difficult long weekend we've got coming up.

Hammond's suspension could be a blessing in disguise, he's been so poor lately. I hope Alexis Nicolas will be fit for at least 1 of our next two and can rediscover his best form.

It's a good bet Bozza, I tend to be at a lot more games than you these days, you old cider-soaked sourpuss

The people on my train home were calling for McGhee to go and Adams to replace him!! What sort of dreamland to people live in?

What more do we want? Champions League football?

Next thing we'll have Bobby Zamora back up front.
