When adding water to a saucepan to do pasta, do you:
A) Add hot water from the kettle so it gets a head start?
Or
B) Add cold water and heat it up fully from the hob?

OfcourseI presume you add the pasta when the water is hot...in B?
Run hot tap for 30 secs, fill kettle, fill saucepan, add pasta. Preserving some pasta water for sauce is a good move
Do you drink the water separatley if you're having pesto ?
Quickest is to just put macaroni in the kettle and turn it on/off 3 times for al dente, 4 for soft.
