Alright gang - the honeymoon period in what I thought was going to be my job for the forseeable, has well and truly come to an end...

I'm going to 'keep an eye' out for a new job (as opposed to actively searching), and wondered if anyone could recommend any companies recruiting currently, or reliable sites or recruitment companies (oxymorons aside).

I'm currently working in Corporate Finance in a mix of trading and property business... will keep my options open for the next role.

Thanks all.

MacDonalds Co. and Aspen Gilchrist in London both specialise in property/surveying so would surely have relevant jobs.

Hays were rubbish, but then they might be good for the right candidate.

Feel for you Faldo and have nothing to do with your sector I'm afraid.

However 1 interview question I always get praised for is this one, save it for the end "Is there anything I have said or you have read from my CV that leads you to believe I'm not suitable for this position". Puts them on the backfook, sounds an intelligent question and more importantly gives you the opportunity to re-address any misunderstandings earlier on.

Also, there's a library of getting a new job hints and tips type books out there but the daddy of them all is one that's been about for 30+years but is nearly always updated every 2 years. Go get it from bookshops or amazon and you won't be disappointed, it's actually very readable too "What colour is your parachute". Read it after several near misses and landed my current plum job first time after 3 rounds of interviews.

Good luck!
