Ransomware attack at The Guardian. Could be interesting / extremely damaging if ‘sources’ for various stories on servers are leaked
Ransomware doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve been hacked. They could have been infected without being hacked.

But you can guarantee whoever randomwared them , once they realise who it is will be looking to sell access / details etc

A ransomware attack usually means that all their files have been encrypted by a program maliciously planted on their network. The attacker then offers them the decryption 'key' so they can get everything back for a hefty fee. Its unlikely to have compromised contacts or anything like that.
