The Greer question

With Tommy and Adam so solid ... how will our club captain Greer get back into the team?
Wonder whether Gus may bring him back on Tuesday night and move El Abd into the holding role in front of the back two to help give a couple of our midfield stars such as Kish a rest? Or would that be too negative?
Other than that I can't see Greer getting a game at the moment.

Kish had a rest against Plymouth and only played 30 mins yesterday. So he should be OK. Also don't forget that although Bridcutt didn't have the best of games yesterday, he was one of our best players against Plymouth so I don't think Gus would consider playing El Abd there.

Greer will come back in and have his chance at some point. Meanwhile if Tommy and Adam keep playing well and we keep winning games Greer will just have to wait for a suspension or injury...

I had hoped the days of people suggesting El-Abd in midfield were gone.

some goonfreaks thought it was his best position

he offers nothing going forward and is, therefore, an absolute disgrace in the middle of the park. now he is playing centre back we are certainly seeing the best of him, and as long as him and elphick keep going the way they are i am quite happy to never see that thug greer pull on an albion shirt again

El-abd in midfield was a good idea when we had a half dozen decent centre backs and no midfielders. thats not the case now, so why go there?

Tbh I think the first time el abd does a major(maybe even minor) mistake, poyet is gonna bring Greer back into the starting 11.

Thought Tommy had a poor game by his standards yesterday. Gave away possesion a couple of times in key areas, although we got away with it. If Poyet wanted to bring Greer in against Brentford it could be at his expense, would be a bit harsh on Tommy though, up untill yesterday I thought he was probbley the player of the season so far.

I agree. Adam has not done much wrong but once he does Greer will be straight back in

agreed. but if greers signing was only to make el-abd play amazing then it is money well spent.

Greer will be back in soon, it may be a suspension or an injury that creates the opportunity but if not we will concead a sloppy goal and Gus will switch things around
