It is OBVIOUSLY Doctor Who, Blue Peter or Corrie.
Why? Because these programmes are STILL going after 40+ years. The theme tunes for each are INGRAINED into nearly everyone of us. Maybe a shoe-in for Enders, Match of the Day & Grandstand as well.
Yes Hawaii 5-0 was a good tune - a bloody good one, so was Baywatch, Return of the Saint and alot of them on here but Im afraid for me it has to be ones that have stood the test of time.
Those tunes that are known by those between 8 & 80. That if you played it now without hesitation they would say Blue Peter or MOTD!
Now credits sequence thats different but the title of the thread was theme TUNE.

This one is a theme of my childhood... usually followed by a "ssssssssshhhh" from my Grandfather...
