The GREATEST 80's tracks of all time...

In the late 1970's there were some brilliant tracks that paved the way for the electronic movement in music.
OMD - Messages
Fad Gadget - Back to Nature
and Ultravox - Slow Motion;

Ultravox morphed somewhat, with the departure of John Foxx (who it has to be said did little else of note), but Vienna was a tremendous record - featuring one of the greatest instrumentals ever, too;

The Simple Minds were the finest band in that decade for me, starting from the Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call album, through New Gold Dream to Once Upon a Time. They created another great instrumental track of the era;

Later-to-be a subject of some ridicule, The Human League were no slouches during the decade, and issued a sterling best-seller;

I thought I might find some inspiring tracks but this thread has reminded me what a grim decade for music the 80s was.

I'm dissappointed to see that the 1880s and 1780s have been entirely ommitted. This is the thread for the greatest 80s track EVER!

now you know you're spreading misinformation there, thatcher spent her early years cleaning up the mess wilson, calaghan and " tax the rich until the pips squeak" healey had left behind , most of the eighties wasnt anything like this.
Were you living in a different universe to the rest of us ? :) Life under Thatcher was :(

my all time fave Karaoke song, with lyrics such as this:

"I've had enough of you, and your super-bad crew
I don't need your, I don't need your
Pseudo-satisfaction baby"
