Petrescu won the Romanian league with Unirea a few years back, which I guess would be similar to taking Fulham to the Premier League title. They destroyed Rangers 4-1 in the Champions League as well.

That wouldn't be a bad appointment.

He has to take it first. Going by the reactions of all other managers approached by them the odds on him accepting it are...?

This is ****ING HILARIO. Prince Charming must be having a shit fit.

Odds are now:

Petrescu- 6/4
Coleman- 9/2
Robinson :)lolol:)- 8/1
Pulis- 8/1
Mackay- 12/1
Dyche- 14/1
IAN DOWIE :)drool:)- 16/1

:timmy::timmy::timmy: (mods, can this emoji shortcut become :crystalpalace:?)

Kind of disappointed he didn't get the palace job now.

It would be exactly the same on here but the BBS is funny at the moment.

It's Karanka! - Brilliant he is just what we need, pedigree from Madrid.
It's not Karanka - Brilliant he is too inexperienced and is better suited to Boro.

It's Meulenstenn! - Brilliant - he is just what we need, pedigree from Man Utd.
It's not Meulenstenn - Brilliant - he has no managerial experience, he'd be useless Fulham are welcome to him.

...and so on, and so on.

This is hardly surprising. Whoever the takes on the role is not only inheriting a relegation bound team, but also faces having to deal with the expensive legacy of quite possibly the worst and most haphazard set of summer signings since the transfer window was introduced 10 years ago.

In 1996 whilst the fans were at war with the owners, we were 11 points adrift at the bottom of the football league, due to lose the ground at the end of the season and not sure of being accepted by the conference if we were relegated.

We didn't seem to have as much trouble getting a manager.

As per Parish's 5-live interview, on Saturday, the new manager will be announced later today.
He was adamant about mid week, next week.

Hughton. Sacked by Norwich this weekend I reckon. Could be in the hot seat at Selhurst by Monday.
