It'll be lovely for him to know he wasn't first choice.

He was though, not sure if he wanted more but we were not prepared to offer it but now are, maybe all the other rumours were just that. Who knows, but either way I am happy with him, also he is not Ian Dowie

I think in your position I would be happy with him too. Just don't expect pretty and expansive tippy-tappy football any more......Oh.

Pulis? OK. I can live with that. All he has to do now is get rid of the entire first team and replace them with very tall hard cases and long throw in specialists and The Jestermen will be a force to be reckoned with....in League 1.

Unless Pulis has some magical contract busting powers he is stuck with the crew of poseurs and lightweights that Wurzel saddled him with.

Am I the only one that thinks Murray, if he gets fit, is not going to set the prem alight contrary to the belief of every Nigel?
I can't see anything saving their embarrassing effort this year but Murray turning out to be crap would be the icing on the cake.

Feel sorry for Muzza as opposition defenders will be told to aim for his knees when going in for a tackle or a 50-50

I agree; I can't see him setting the PL alight. If he was going to shine at the top level, he'd have done it before he was 30.

Last year he benefitted from being the front man playing in a very attacking team with the most effective wing partnership in the league. He's a decent finisher but not clinical, and chances will be few and far between.

In all seriousness - how happy would you be if that was the case?

You'd stand a slightly stronger chance of staying up sure , but the actually football itself will be very, very negative

A lot happier than I would have been with some of the others who have been bandied about. But I could live with him as he would instil some belief and fight into the team. Personally we just have to focus on survival for now, playing pretty football we can worry about later but our main aim should be staying in the PL, whether that is possible or not is another matter but I would at least prefer us to try

It will be Pulis

Won't be Pulis. Have you not noticed a pattern here? The favorite doesn't get the job, it's like one of those perpetual motion thingies. It'll be Malky next, then that Spanish geezer again and so on until they bring back pulis for a third time. Each interview will lead to bigger offers until the last.man.standing gets the job, with administration 6 months later.

So Pulis comes in and has a slow start (due to crap squad issues)

How long before the 'best fans in the country' turn on him?

Over to you Palace fans.

What is it about teams whose fans declare themselves as the best fans in the league/world etc. First pompey, Sheffield Wednesday lol, now palace following suit,

Already preparing their best throat-slitting gestures to welcome him ???
