Oh Stevie Sidwell
You are the love of my life
Oh Stevie Sidwell
I'd let you shag my wife
Oh Stevie Sidwell
I wish I had ginger hair too....

Thought it was 'I want ginger hair too'.......

Love how Sidwell always chuckles to himself when he's sub and warming up in the NW corner and hears it

My seven year old nephew asked me to teach him the words as he'd only worked out the "oh Stevie" and "love of my life bits"

I may have to alter it slightly!

I'm disappointed Tony Bloom's:-

'He knows he's the man'

Has never got a run out since Bristol City.

This made me smile this morning. Not heard the song yet, but apparently the protagonists have been doing it for a little while. If it makes Uwe happy, we should all be singing it loudly at Lincoln, thus:

He's a German, our mighty German
He's Uwe Hünemeier
He's a German, our mighty German
He's Uwe Hünemeier
A-Hünemeier, a-Hünemeier, a-Hünemeier, a-Hünemeier.
...etc

Tune of The Lion Sleeps Tonight, if that wasn't immediately obvious...

My god that's brilliant. Almost as good as the Adam El-Abd one to that tune that was in The Office.

Not the least divisive chant ever devised, has to be said.

The couple I sit next to never join in. despite one of them being, er, how you say, 'flame-haired'. And the couple behind me always substitute 'ex-wife' for 'wife'.

Still dead funny tho. :lolol:

It is "I want ginger hair too". It's not original either, the Barry Army sing it to Johnny Bairstow. Pretty much the whole Hollies stand were singing it during the one dayer against Sri Lanka in the summer. It is funny though. Thought the North Stand were quality last night, good atmosphere all round in fact

Remember singing this to our former ginger midfielder Ryan Harley back in the day.

Have the other stands given up apart from the North? WSU used to occasionally and SW but both of them are mute.

WSU joined in with some & started a couple of others last night. Mainly gets going when the songs going across the whole ground so you can't pick them out but, trust me, they're joining in. Last night was as it should be, North starting it off and filling in the boring bits and the rest of the ground joining in when needed

To Saved by the Bell Theme Tune.

When we're struggling with the scoring
and we're losing or we're drawing
I just know that itll be alright

A midfielder will get the hook
Chris Hiughton has a look
And on his bench there's a helluva sight

It's alright, cos we've got Steve Sidwell

Whats the 'get lucky' Duffy song?

We're up all night till the sun
We're up all night to get some
We're up all night for good fun
We're up all night for Shane Duffy...
