Come on then....favourite Shipping Forecast area?

Only 31 to choose from.

It’s ‘Lundy’ all the way for me!

West is BEST
Portland. It’s where I grew up.

Mrs The Clamp bought me a great book for Christmas last year. It goes through each area giving historical and geographical facts about each one. It’s brilliant.

I’m a huge fan of the Shipping Forecast and listen to it each night on shift.

Where is the Dover/ Wight landfall boundary?

I've been told Beachy Head, Newhaven Port and Peacehaven.

I hope it's Beachy Head.

Solent. I'm surprised it's not been used as a first name. I looked it up out of intrigue when I was researching my family history in Ancestry. Appears only about 5 people have been given the name in the last 100 years or so.

Not sure I'd call someone 'Dogger'

What’s the book called please?

I love that sort of obscure stuff.

Back on topic, German Bight.

My old man was a fisherman, the house always fell silent when we got to our area and the adjoining ares. So for me it's " Dover, Wight, Portland, Plymouth. " in a radio 4 voice.
