Gave it a go, but despite my love for funk and hip hop, really not enjoying it. The main female lead is fire though.

You need to stick with it. The first episode jumps about but once it starts introducing Grandmaster flash it is GREAT.

Considering the budget ($7.5m per episode - and still ran over) and Baz Luhrmann's previous work, I expected it to be excellent. As it was, I thought it was one of the most poorly-written and sloppily-produced TV shows I've watched in a long, long time.

It's a no from me.
