I'm going to sneak this in here, but may start a thread on it at some point.

I can't help noticing a similarity between Mr Potter's interviewee style and that of the respected thinker, E.L. Wisty. See what you think......

I don’t know if any of you have seen it, but GP appeared quite emotional towards the end of yesterday’s Burnley presser.

Reflected on what a tough season it had been for him personally and professionally (moving his family from Sweden to Wales, then to Brighton, losing both his parents).

And also seemed aggrieved he has had to endure constant comparisons and questions pertaining to Sir Hughton (“I respect him, but I just want to talk about me and be judged for me”).

An unprecedented high pressured job to be a PL manager, and I think all of us forget this is all quite new to him still. He admitted he’s made some mistakes during the season. Hopefully this was just his way of letting off steam and revelling back to the journalists now we are safe.

I have full respect for this man both as a human being and as a brilliantly talented coach. Uncle Tony has picked so well here.

The future IS bright.

41pts. Record high finish. Survival.

Overseeing dramatic change of philosophy at our club, shaken up the squad. Improved our ability to control and pick up points away from home. To do all this and get results in this League is a tremendous achievement.

Congratulations GP!

Absolute master stroke by Bloom , Barber & Ashworth to make a few bold decisions to get us to where we are now but there has been some real positives in doing so. We’re going to see a slow changing of the guard with the team I think too with a few older faces moved on and replaced by a bit more quality and experience.

Really grown to appreciate Potter since lockdown
