Oh good i like davina , Or are you telling me that anti-establishment fervour is frowned upon on nsc .

I didn't mean the mods on NSC. I think rather than a fourth reich appearing we could enter into a repressive state as the recession deepens. The terrorism act isn't there just for Muslims. So just be carefull. You don't want your doors being kicked in at some ungodly hour do you.

So many different factors that its not even worth comparing really, but I think the main difference is Hitler's rise to power on the back of the unfair Treaty of Versailles, and the rest of Europe's uneasy acceptance of him because we knew he had a point.

In a hundred years time people will look back not at two world war but one world war split into two halves.

Hitler's rise to power and WWII was a direct result of that treaty.

So the right target the immigrant worker do they?
The BNP are trying to get involved at Lindsey Oil Refinery. The Grimsby Telegraph reported the local BNP spokesman was arranging supporters to join the picket lines as there are contractors working at LOR who are BNP members.

You missed my link to Griffins speech. Where he blames the system and not just targetting immigrant labour. Of course the BNP will give there support to the strikers. When they say British jobs for British workers they mean it. Unlike Gordon Brown

They may mean it, but they don't understand global economics. How many BNP members own a BRITISH car, watch a BRITISH TV and buy knock off BRITISH porn? Very few I suspect.

I doubt if you could buy a car or tv that isn't owned buy a foreign company. I think you could only say that the British porn industry is trully British. Anyway what is to stop us producing our own cars and TV in the future. As for global economics. Its not doing very well is it.

I edited out your link , to make my post informative as to what is happening at LOR. Found it funny to see Nick Griffin standing in front of a banner extolling the "Black Country".

People's opinions on this subject are likely to be influenced by their current employment status.

We've never had it so good, who'd have thought we'd be owning banks a few years back.

The issue is that consumers don't give a flying f*** where their possessions come from,so long as they are (a) cheap and (b) of good quality. It is pointless getting into a lather about employment, if there is no one to buy the products from the factories.

Sinister similarities are developing in this country and others, with the situation that existed in Germany during the worldwide economic depression of the 1930s.

Hitler rose to lead Germany on the back of putting right the ills that existed through that depression. The public anger was turned against the Jews and the rest is history.

We are already beginning to see the anger building in the UK against foreign workers. Its a worry.

You have leapt to a conclusion that is way off the mark here.

We have had foreign workers in this country for a looong time, and they have been among us all over Britain, and all over Brighton. People might occasionally grumble when they don't speak a word of English and stay in small secular groups, but few will 'rise up' against them or feel deep resentment.
Personally, I've worked with Poles and Lithuanians and Aussies and S.Africans and ..... the list is long. Some are affable, some are brilliant, and some are dullards. It's just like British people, in fact.

The recent issue in this country though, has been the wholesale and complete eclipse of local workforce by foreign contractors who've brought a large exclusive workforce with them for the contracts. This is, in my opinion, totally wrong and against labour hiring policies.
If a British person is available to do the work, they must be considerable.
These contractors are preempting all local labour without consideration, which should be illegal.

Perhaps we could adopt a Cuban approach?! :thud:

YouTube - BNP - Nick Griffin on Capitalism

Griffin's well delivered (but well rehearsed?) lecture contained a factual inaccuracy. The Cheshire Building Society has always been mutual, and failed as such; indeed, has it not been absorbed by another mutual? I did, however, find his proposed policy at the end concerning the "fat cats" to be quite attractive.
