Not old enough to remember Brian Dear but I do remember the very effective Willie Irvine (came on loan from Preston before signing permanently) together with Bert Murray (on loan from Birmingham before Pat Saward's fan-supported buy-a-player fund bought him).Brian Dear from West Ham in the mid to late sixties ? He scored a few goals too.

Bertie Lutton from the Wolfs I think
Phil Woolgar one app away at Doncaster Rovers 16/5/67 score 1-1. Although he was an 18yo amateur I'm not convinced he was technically a loan player because he played for Albion in both youth and reserve football, while also playing for Wigmore Athletic. He also played for many years with Lancing while occasionally still helping out The Albion in reserve football. I'd like to say I remember all this, but it comes from "Albion A-Z" by Carder and Harris.
sure he came from Wolves and left us to go to West Ham. Long time ago though so could easily be wrong.
Brian Deere only played a handful of games for us on loan from Hammers but scored a few good goals - I remember a fabulous waist high volley into the south stand goal although I can't place who it was against offhand
