Definitely moved forward. Need much, much more progression next season or the natives will get restless. I reckon 12th is a minimum.

Hmm, the natives coped when we were 91st less than 25 year ago

I won't be placing any such demands

Like nearly all, I would still support the club in the longer term. Does not stop me wanting to improve, a constant relegation fight is not fun.

There's quite a difference between not being a fan of a constant relegation fight and wanting "much, much more progression" and a minimum finish of 12th. Would it really make you a "restless native" if we come 13th? I would be as
pleased as punch with that.

Mind you, I'm pretty easy-going and came to the conclusion a long time ago that pretty much anything in life is better with improvements in small increments.

I have a theory that if you took the net increase in wealth of a decent lottery win and applied it differently to two very similar people (or two couples / whatever), with one getting a lump sum immediately and the other getting slowly increasing monthly payments over their lifetime (or 20 years / whatever), the latter situation will generate FAR more happiness overall.

Too much, too soon and human nature dictates that your baseline is reset much higher, everything becomes 'normal' and you feel the need to improve some more to be happy. The reality could be you've already reached your peak/pinnacle/zenith and therefore the only way is down, leading to MISERY because you no longer have what you had.

Imagine if your first sexual encounter was with [insert your dream man/woman/non-binary here]... the only way is down after that and a lifetime of whistful thoughts and resentful glances at your other half :lolol:

We've improved as we are in our next phase of development, how do we cope when the big clubs start wanting our better players.
Get this right and reinvest to further improve the team and we will be moving towards the top 10 aim,

For next season it would be a large achievement to finish with a positive goal difference,

We are still paying the price for some major duff signings - big jurg , aj , Jose . Also there’s been an overhaul in the playing style .
To maintain our position is a big achievement .
We will learn from our mistakes and get better

As others have eloquently put, TV really doesn't do our progress justice. I have never seen a Brighton side play with the confidence and swagger that we did against City. You don't see the players demanding the ball, the movement of the back three, the impact of Lallana. Ben White and Bissouma too. I know they're good, but live they're really good.

Why should the results of this poll be any different from the same poll started at the, er, start of the month? Apart from maybe highlighting the dimwits that blow hot/cold according to the most recent couple of results
