With just over a week to go this is the final push to try and get to team through the £ 5000 barrier target. We have 9 Men running and are close to £ 4000 as we stand. A FANTASTIC effort and a huge boost to the fund. Please support an individual of your choice as every pound counts. The runners will be presented with an REMF running top, a REMF Hero medal as recognition of their efforts and the quickest runner will receive a special trophy. I will bounce this with a view to trying to encourage people to come along on the day to cheer the heroes on.

The runners are

1. Lee Burberry
2. Terry Hilder
3. Richard Morris
4. Bob Gear
5. Tim Hodges
6. Kevin Risby - CPFC supporter, running in a Pink BHAFC shirt
7. Mark Bushell - CPFC supporter, running in a BHAFC shirt
8. Charlie Stephenson - Robert Eaton's nephew
9. Richard Stevens

I have asked them to post their just giving links on here for the final time.

Thank you kind people of NSC.

Currently 62% of the way to having to wear the pink LADIES brighton kit. If you are looking for someone to donate to i think a palace fan in the pink stripes maybe a worthy cause and id be most greatful.

Kevin Risby is fundraising for Robert Eaton Memorial Fund

Also agree with Tony and many thanks to GG for all his work in putting the team together and keeping going even though there were a few that dropped out last minute.

Well done Gareth for all of your hard work to get the 2012 REMF marathon team so organized. Brilliant job.

Hear! Hear! You get a lot of grief on NSC US, its almost become a sport! And a good deal of it undeserved of late!

Well done and thanks for all your REMF time and effort over the years.

I am doing Brighton Marathon almost as a 'training run'.

My Target Race, and main sponsorship effort, will be the South Downs Way 100 . 103 miles, Winchester to Eastbourne on the South Downs Way.

The original plan was to do Brighton as a fitness test, and then enter the SDW100 once I'd proved my fitness to myself. I've attempted this race the last 2 years and only managed 34 miles in 2010, and 54 miles last year. I am running faster and feeling stronger this year. However the entry list for the 100 miler filled up a lot quicker than I expected, and I entered about 3 weeks ago.

So, any support for Brighton and Three Forts Marathon on 6th May will be gratefully accepted, however the REMF fundraising will continue with this race on 30th June through to 1st July, and I hope I can help push the REMF fundraising way above the target by the time I take on, and complete, this race!

That is crazy. The idea of running both Brighton and London this year scares me. Lets hope you manage to complete it.
