I'll take 13th now, and would not be disappointed with it. Given it would be the club's highest finish, why would you?

Given where we are in the table I'd like to get at least 12th, so that it is the club's highest ever finish and not joint highest ever. I think there is a strong target within the club for a top 10 finish, hopefully this will prevent any 'on the beach' performances.

It's a narrow view but looking at goals scored / conceded by us and Wolves:

Brighton: 31 scored / 42 conceded
Wolves: 33 scored / 29 conceded

Would say tomorrow probably isn't going to be a goalfest.

Interestingly only Burnley (29) and Norwich (22) have scored fewer goals than us.

Yup, as seen by the very few draws they have, they are incredibly difficult to break down if they take the lead, and they struggle to break down opponents if they fall behind. Relatively similar to Brighton. First goal wins, I think. But 0-0 is not exactly the least imaginable result.

Have you not noticed though, that nowadays we are consistently better in performance against better sides who go at us and leave gaps?

I'd be far more concerned if we were playing Norwich, Watford, Palace and Burnley.

We generally don't know how to break down teams that come and sit. We DO know how to get through teams who go at us.

I dont think Wolves and West Ham are teams that will go into some kind of all-in attack style.

The final margin between 9th and 14th is going to be pretty small, so I can't say I'd be overly disappointed with the latter - we could end a disallowed Gross goal away from a 2-3 place jump and that shouldn't cloud the clear progress. Undoubtedly could have been better though after such a good start - injuries to key players at the wrong times (Webster and Dunk in particular that coincided with BDB leaving) have cost us a fair bit IMO, plus our strangely shite home form. I suspect personal views of the season will depend a bit on what games people have attended - GP kind of nailed it when he said some of the awaydays have been brilliant.

Nor are they going to sit in and stick 14 men behind the ball.

Remember the Sheff Utd games? They were fun.

1-1 against Wolves and an absolutely biblical binfest about something to do with Maupay

0-0 against Man United and an absolutely biblical binfest because of a 6 year old Brighton fan asking Ronaldo for his shirt

0-1 win against Leeds and an absolutely biblical binfest about Connolly for no obvious reason to do with the game

1-2 defeat against West Ham and an absolutely biblical binfest about the width of the stripes on the new home kit and how Bissouma was clapping out of time with the rest of the team on the end of season lap so is clearly on his way

Our aim should be the top placed south coast league club which as far as I can work out we have only achieved once (1959/1960). This is not a good record bearing in mind the competition is Portsmouth, Southampton, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter.

I always considered the south coast (football wise) to be us, Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth. The others are just Wurzels.

Geography not your strongest point? I mean it's your Yeovil who is your real Worzel innit?

Though maybe not now they have departed the Football League.

Molyneux has historically been a happy hunting ground for us, and l think we could plunder all three points there tomorrow, similarly at Leeds another win perhaps? Both games are away from home where we have had more success this season.

At the Amex though l'm wondering if our home woes will continue, perhaps a goalless draw against Manure, and then l can envisage us running out of steam against Wet Sham and ending up well beaten.

Would l be happy with 48 points? . . . l'd be ***** delighted!

I’d like to see some of the better U23s given a few minutes.

Brighton factually.....

Not if it is a close game, maximum points please, no mucking about.

Wolves, Leeds, Manchester United, West Ham all winnable games to be honest.
Strong finish to the season, raises the value of players looking to leave and increases our profile when tempting replacements.

so far the season has been "Spiffing"

Wolves "betterness" comes from defensive solidity and cynicism. Not normally the sort of team we break down, hence my prediction of a dull draw.

I think West Ham are pretty solid defensively too and, also like Wolves, they've got a decent roster of forward players who are quick and play on the counter-attack well. The biggest difference between the two is that West Ham are fantastic at set pieces, in fact they're about the best in the PL at that. Given GP's preference for ewoks, we're not too bad at defending them, despite what happened in the second minute at the London Stadium.

all depends which version of the sides turn up.

Every single game left is winnable on the right day.

Above Palace and no lower than 12th would hopefully will be the outcome

Would like to see Fergusson given more minutes to see what we have

Shirley its a good time to play Manure and about time we beat some in the top half at home. And West Ham, come on, they never beat us...

I think of Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter (which isn't on the coast anyway) as west country clubs rather than south coast ones. Academic though - we don't have to worry about them any more.

Never say never, Plymouth in particular are a big club and have graced the top division before, they will be back at some point.

We won't be in the Premier League forever either.
