There are a number of factors leading to that though.
Nice weather
School holidays - people abroad, people skint
Shit midweek result
Stockport brought a group of fans that could fit into a Ford Fiesta
Airshow

Cant realy blame the potato for that Erny!

Todays gate 5200, no more to be said

Had Stockport brought a decent crowd, the gate would have been the upper reaches of 5000 which considering people are on holidays and tuesdays result would be pretty good really.

That is a crap gate although to be honest the point was made that the Walsall gate was very high for August. We traditionally suffer in the first month for all of the reasons stated. Stockport support was barely 100.

You can see how most were ridiculously optimistic on this prediction thread. Not so much to do with people on holiday, more to do with shit results. We are a fickle bunch and the teams indiscipline have blown the enthusiasm that was there at the end of last season.

Crowd prediction for Saturday - North Stand Chat

Crap Town
Stockport away following was 139 , I would guess that 1500 Albion fans decided not to go after Tuesday nights result

I'm glad you've realised that the "SALDE" joke isn't funny anymore. Infact...it never was.

TRUE fans wouldn't have missed the match today for a poxy airshow or a game of cricket.
I bet Bloom is reconsidering the whole lot now, why pay £90million for Falmer ?

You know and he knows, Albion fans will not turn out in force unless we are playing great football and winning. It was always thus. Those days will return, have faith and give the bald bloke a decent crack at it, a minimum of 8 games more imo.

I don't think he will have more than the Millwall game if that, it's not just one game. We have been crap pre season and crap in every game so far and you can only go on for so long without change.
