The establishment and historic child sex abuse

There was a vote on this in March. There was a proposal put forward by John Mann to relax the official secrets act so historic allegations of child abuse could be heard. It was voted for by all Labour MPs and a handful of Conservatives and Lib Dems but voted down by the bulk of the parliamentary Tory and LD parties.

If we have a change of government, there may be a chance of getting it through but if the Tories get back in: no chance

Yup, Conservatives more interested in protecting their pedo buddies rather than being on the side of the victims and of the truth. Now people, tell me why we should not single out the Conservatives? Every step of the way they are obstructing justice. May should be ashamed of herself. It's an utter disgrace.

"The news comes after it was revealed last night that Westminster attendance records show Janner attended the House of Lords almost daily and claimed more than £100,000 in expenses in the four years after he was diagnosed with the disease.

He only stopped attending Parliament – and claiming up to £300 a day for doing so – when child abuse police raided his house on December 2013. Even in that month he attended the Lords 12 times."

This really makes me angry. Why isn't the Labour Party doing more to bring these perverts within their ranks to justice?

things keep going as they are and lots of these sent to prison , the next government will have to build a special rule 43 unit , a very large one.

Lord Janner signed a letter saying he wanted to remain a peer ONE week before he was ruled unfit to face child sex abuse charges.

Just checking, is this more or less 'absurd' than Jimmy Saville being the most prolific sex criminal the country has ever seen.

The strenuos denial is becoming the acceptance of guilt of this affair. If you weren't trying to hide something and given the gravity of the accusations, wouldn't you just keep your counsel? Cf. the Janner families assertion that he is innocent - they can't possibly know that, predatory paedophiles generally aren't particuarly open about their actions as it's not very good for business.

& reading further down, utterly shameful that Brittan's house wasn't raided until 6 weeks after his death

It is interesting that the old duffer of a friend says that it is "absurd" to interview Lord Bramall.

The thing I find absurd is that to my knowledge there has not been a single conviction of any one individual concerning the goings on at Dolphin Square (that being the worse but there are other places too).

That is a disgrace to our country.
