Jesus christ there is so much SHYTE being written on here tonight.

The reason we've slipped down the league is not because we have 'a shit manager who should be sacked', not because we have 'a potless, tight chairman', not because of 'dodgy penalty decisions and being apointed shit referees' (these things even themselves up by the end of the season and when things arent going well its sods law you tend to get more decisions against you)..

..its becuase the players have been punching above their weight for so long that they are clearly KNACKERED, and therefore, where at one point in the season we would have kept going and grabbed a point or 3 (eg sheff united, millwall)- now we are clearly beginning to run out of steam after 70/80 minutes. Add to this ill-timed injuries and suspensions, and bobs-your-uncle THATS why we have slipped to within touching distance of the relegation battle again. We have done EXTREMELY well this season given our resources, the depth of our squad and thats down to EVERYONE at the club. Where does everyone who's moaning about our position expect us to be in the division out of interest?? ??? At the start of the season i would have been absolutely delighted with fourth bottom, everyone expected us to finish bottom ffs.

Yes we have a huge battle on our hands to stay up, but whatever happens i will be applauding every single player and member of staff off that pitch at Rotherham. (cannot make ipswich). They've made a great go of it this season.

Now im as gutted as the rest of you about the result today, f***ing gutted thinking about going to the likes of port vale etc again next season, but Im NOT about to give up just yet. Ill be at Preston, Burnley and Rotherham singing my heart out for the lads.

Rant over. Logging off now cos i really cant be arsed to read any more of the CRAP on here from the likes of JUNIOR and Mr f***ing Turd, its just pissing me off even more than i already am.

Don't Give Up

In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose

Don't give up, 'cause you have friends
Don't give up, you're not beaten yet
Don't give up, I know you can make it good

Though I saw it all around
Never thought that I could be affected
Thought that we'd be last to go
It is so strange the way things turn

Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground

Don't give up, you still have us
Don't give up, we don't need much of anything
Don't give up, 'cause somewhere there's a place where we belong

Rest your head
You worry too much
It's gonna be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don't give up, please don't give up

Got to walk out of here I can't take anymore
Gonna stand on that bridge keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come and whatever may go
That river's flowin', that river's flowin'

Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs

Don't give up 'cause you have friends
Don't give up, you're not the only one
Don't give up, no reason to be ashamed
Don't give up, you still have us

Don't give up now, we're proud of who you are
Don't give up, you know it's never been easy
Don't give up, 'cause I believe there's a place,
There's a place where we belong

If it means supporting a manager whose working miracles and backing the team, then yes.

Yes - working miracles is a fair description. If we'd managed to keep at our post-Sunderland league position, it would have been a mega-miracle.
It wasn't a great game today, but we really shouldn't expect to beat grown-up teams like Coventry. They had 33 players listed in today's programme; we had 26 of whom 4 are crocked/retired. And that doesn't include our three senior players who've already had to retire this season.
Let's face it - we're only in this divison 'cos of the gross incompetence of Swindon and Brissle. Let's enjoy it while we can - and if we don't come across lousy referees like Mr M G Cowburn again, we've still got a decent chance of sneaking enough points for the miracle to continue next season.

No - it means your comments are even more ill-informed than originally thought. You are suggesting a highly successful manager working on a shoestring budget with poor training facilities should be sacked after loosing (sic) a game of which you have no first hand experience.

98% of people on here disagree with you. What does that make you? Right? Or a Twat?

We need to get behind the team and support the players to give them the edge in the last games of the season. If they can 'punch above their weight' in three more games we will be OK. Recriminations can come at the end of the season.

It's a very good point about them being knackered. Totally agree. Hopfully some of the others like Forest who've been rallying for a while will start to get worn down by the pressure.

One win ... that's what we need, asap. Imagine if we went into the last 4 games knowing that one more win would almost certainly keep us up.... I'm sure that would put a bit of energy back into the legs. (Failing that, can't we club together to send them to Butlins for a week - I imagine Dubai's a bit beyond us). :)

Not going to the game doesn't necessarily make you any less of a fan (i wasn't at the game either so what can i say, and i cant make home games being in manchester). It does, however, make the ill-informed shit you post even more laughable. when Was the last time you went to a game, out of interest? Let me guess, Cardiff? Spurs? And i'd put money on you having a second team- Man United? Arsenal? (thats if you even ARE a Brighton fan as you say- loosely- that you are).
