What is surprising is that there isn't any form of Falmer (or Lewes) to Littlehampton service either before games or after, particularly midweek.

I didn't think such a thing was possible until, last night, my Hove - Brighton train then became a Brighton - Falmer/Lewes service leaving from Brighton Platform 3 (i.e. not the regular side of the station for Lewes trains). And, just to be clear, it was never advertised as a Lewes train from West of Brighton, it was just the rolling stock was then used to go to Lewes having arrived at Brighton.

But, given it is possible for a train to traverse East to West and West to East through Brighton like this, why not have a special service or two like this? It would save a lot of congestion on Brighton Station itself.

Bloody hell, yes it would!

Mill Road Park and Ride. Some heating in the queue if you miss the first tranche of buses would be nice, especially when the icy winter wind is blowing across the downs from wherever it blows from. But generally no complaints - and it is getting better with buses being given priority in getting away.

Explained on the other thread - that was planned and the driver didnt forget. Was an empty train for the QPR special which was late-running - was due to pass through non-stop before FT, but due to the delay - it made it look like the driver forgot the stop, which if that was to happen - then it is taken incredibly seriously. Think the other time last season was due to a fault on board the train, which no staff bothered to communicate.

Not sure about last season but for the evening Reading game it was human error by the driver.

I think the trains are better this year, but when there issues it casuses a lot of problem (from getting the trains daily we seem to have got very lucky so far).

However I don't understand why either a) all the Brighton trains don't stop at London Rd and Moulsecomb after the game or b)at least the 8 carriage trains are the stoping ones.

I aslo don't understand why are fans are so obsessed with getting on the front of a train they'd rather cram in the front carriage than take one of the many seats at the back of the train.

Really not happy on a good day. Trains to Shoreham (West Coastway is the worst bit.) Last night was real hell (should have another poll option). Like being stuck in a lift for two hours.

It is more putting me off getting on a train again. They are usually overcrowded and nasty but it does not last for so long.

Saturday works very well on the Trains. I left Three bridges on the 1.32 train on Saturday and arrived at the ground at 2.17. Enough time for a beer and pie in Dicks. 50 mins to get back to Three Bridges. No problem.
Evenings are a blooming nightmare. Trains about 6ish gets me to the ground around 7.35. no time for beer, but still get a pie. Going home, if you don't get the 9.37, you are bolloxed. last night was bad, I did not get home till 11.15.

Overall. Saturdays work fine, Evenings, need looking into.

When people realise we get crowds of over 25,000 and recognise the fact that those 25,000 then have to get home again they might get it. Likewise go to other ground who regularily get 25,000 and they will see we don't do badly.

Make me laugh seeing QPR fans moaning they didn't get home until 1am FFS get a grip, I got home at 1am when I went to QPR on a Tuesday night this season and the crowd was nowhere near the size of our and it was an easy walk to the tube and then down to Victoria for the last train to Bexhill AND they got a special train.

Am satisfied. Have used train from Seaford, Bridge Car Park, Uni Car Park, Mithras House P & R, Race Hill P & R. The latter is my preferred option. Using Race Hill, Last night home in Seaford @ 10.45 having seen players off the pitch. 12 minute wait for second tranche of buses, 10 minute on bus and down onto the A259. Easy.

Quite like train to and from Seaford but with only a half hour service it takes too long going home as you usually cannot get on the first service after the match if you stay for the whistle. Not a pie & pint man post match.

As I've said on another thread somewhere, our group have given up on the racecourse park and ride BEFORE matches as it just takes too long to get there. Nobody's fault really, it's just the volume of traffic after turning left at the Woodingdean crossroads. Using it to get back after the game though is absolutely fine, but then only because we usually stay for a couple beers to lte the queues go down a bit.

I used the Mithras House P&R for the first time last, and could not for the life of me understand why the buses have to queue up on the main road to get up to Falmer. Why can they not turn left at the Uni turning where the number 23 bus goes. They could even potentially stop there and let people off who could then just walk over the railway bridge. It took over half an hour last night from leaving Mithras to getting off the bus at the ground. As I say, last night was a first for me on that one - is usually that long?

Ive used the park and ride for every season and its great. Drive down from Crawley, meet some pals and go for a drink at the Winner (Now the fox) opposite car park, normally get on a bu about 2:00/2:15 on a weekday and by 7PM on weekdays and never missed any of the game. Always clap the team off from the North and then walk to the queue and usually 5 buses waiting. think i've only not got on one for the first buses twice and only had to wait 20 minutes. Perfectly happy with the transport.

If only the ticket covered trains to and from Crawley.

My major complaint is that all of the park and ride facilities are concentrated on the eastern side of the Atlantic Ocean.

This makes match day very difficult for some of us.

People's expectations of how to move just short of 30,000 fans out of a relatively small area at once is incredible. I feel that some wouldn't be happy unless they could park literally outside the east stand entrance, for free, and then have priority to leave the stadium first on the sound of the final whistle and have Barber personally chauffeur them to their front door.
Some people have overly high expeditions and no patience.

Generally satisfied with it since the recent changes. At the start of the season I was annoyed at removal of the non park and ride bus route I used which was replaced with £75 a season Seagulls Travel service. Learned to live with and the increased travel time rather than pay the extra. Bit of a pain but there you go.

A lot of the frustration comes from, I think, small issues which could have been easily sorted a season or two ago, rather than anyone being proper pissed off at the transport scheme in general.

I think there needs to be a 'generally happy but would like to see some small improvements' option.

First out and can run round to catch a connecting train . Back of the falmer train and can open up all sorts of issues

Did you take your own rocket fuel and pour it in the tank? Don't think I've ever done it from there in under 20 minutes and we used it all the time for the first 2 seasons.
