The final straw was trying to charge for the absolute drivel and the pleasure of viewing their adverts.

It’s a shame, all the local news sites are absolutely awful.

Shock horror I still buy the printed Argus and for me it is very different to online. I read news about Brighton, the rest of Sussex that I cannot see online. Also BrIan Owen’s articles are excellent. Yes there are bloomers every so often but has not that always been so with local papers? Of course the Argus is not in its heyday but few local papers are but the printed version beats the online stuff imho.

Trouble with Argus has tryed to be a Sussex and even a national paper. They should realise there is justification in having a Brighton/Hove only paper fvor local trades busineses,sports and entertainment. Certainly Mid Sussex Times and Eastbourne Herald do a good job in there areas
Have you ever tried the Middy's website - it's atrocious.
