Yes, its quite visceral and also a bit long as well (so they will probably get bored before then end)

I was surprised this movie was not rated higher, seems the standards are slipping on what makes a movie for preteens or for adults.

No way. I have a Batman mad six-year-old son who is desperate to see it but he'll have to wait. It's far too violent and dark. I haven't even let him watch the 1990 Batman with Jack Nicholson.

It doesn't help of course that while movies like the Dark Knight are certifird 12A they are marketed to little kids through toys, books and comics.

At the end of the day though it's down to the parents to be responsible.

If a 6 yr old wants to see a Batman film I would recommend the George Clooney one (Batman and Robin) with Arnie as Mr Freeze..bordering on the Adam West 60s one in terms of campness...or indeed watch that film.

It IS a great film and anyone who says otherwise has no sense of humour.

Also Easy I recommend the commentary by Adam West and Burt Ward. Hilario.

"Careful Robin seems to one of those audio navigation devices..."
