Not an easy question.
I've probably seen The Silence of the Lambs, the most, followed by The Usual Suspects.
Goodfellas, is class.
Sunset Blvd left a lasting impression, 'I'm ready for you now Mr De Milne', and I was young when I 1st saw it. The same for North by Northwest.

There's the problem, I could make a strong case for at least 15 of those 26.
Sorry for the fudge, but I can't answer that question.

I thought is was a great film, but certainly not number one film ever as IMDB rating above suggest.

Ledger was excellent as the Joker, but as someone said before, he was more believeable than Nicolson, but Oscar performance?? I fear not!

so, how come The Dark Knight gets a higher ranking than Shawshank/Godfather etc despite having been on relase only a few days ? surely the initial "surge" of filmgoers are Batman/Ledger/Bale fans and as such,are going to vote it " The Best Of All Time".. I think that with the passage of time you will see it drop to a more mid-table position. Is anyone here seriously suggesting that it is going to knock The Godfather in to a cocked hat ? I don't think so !

Funnily enough Uncle Spielburg ( Oncle, now he has fallen for the cheese monkeys) was puffing Titanic as one of the best films ever before he went on holiday as I remember ?

Now, it seems it does not make the top 30 in the figures HE has just referenced.. just goes to show......"There are Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics " its just picking the right figures...

I would not personaly call it a SPOS.. I do however feel it was overrated... so the truth lies somewhere between our points ?

Agreed. I quite enjoyed it, but I don't feel compelled to watch it every other Thursday.

It will be interesting to see where The Dark Knight comes in the top 30 in about a years time. Lots of films get the "Best Film, Ever" tag but few pass the passage of time .

Its certainly the best BATMAN film ever, and very enjoyable it is too. But its never going to stay anywhere near the top of the all-time list of greats. Its good, but its no Goodfellas, is it.

I really enjoyed DK but I thought Batman Begins was a little bit better. Heath ledger as Joker totally nailed it, every nuance was spot on. My main problem was that there wasn't enough of The Joker or Batman in it. I also felt there could have been some more scenes with the likes of Alfred and Lucias Fox. But I enjoyed it.

Titanic gets a 8.5 from me it would be in my top 50 of all time around 46th

I thought one of the good things with the film was the fact that it kept moving. I suppose you could have made more of Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman but it would have made the story slower.
