You appear to be getting in at a good time, although with crypto you never know . There’s quite a lot of revisionist thinking in crypto.
The reality is that the market could be down 40% by this time tomorrow. Unlikely , but entirely possible. But then it could go back up by by Sunday . It’s mental

Ha! I feel like the sucker who cashes out his winning get early at a discount for fear of a 95th minute equaliser ..I made a mistake if buying a lot more BTC than u should risk once the price hit 40k yesterday morning based on some pricks prediction once this happened it could jump to 45, only to see the price drop gather pace during the day and at one point fell 600 in 5: minutes so I took the hit and sold at gues what...yes the bottom of that mini cycle. As I type this It's just recovered 500! So bought high sold low . I'm a frigging genius NOT

Don't worry it's tanked even more today.

I wish all the new entrants luck but if I was opening an account now I would buy Eth and just delete the trading app for a year then check your balance a year later.

It's gonna be a bumpy few months.

Thanks, just dumped all my crypto , can't be doing with the stress. 3rd day trading and net loss of 2k from 15k total investment. Not a great start to my retirement pot..will leave few k in there for shares and might try again with smaller amount later

 you dipped you toe in to day trade? dont do that, at least not with any serious amounts, you got to learn the market and TA to do that (and then get it wrong half the time :hilton:). investing is to put something into 3-5 of the top coins (excluding stable coins and BCH, BSV) leave it some months. maybe look at it each week.

I'd like to buy some Carbano Ada... What do people use as a wallet. Is there a fee. Do i have to pay a monthly fee?

I just want to buy some coins and forget about them for a few years. I have never purchased crypto but have been reading and watching it for a decade now.

Over the years i kept saying bitcoin had peaked at $200 and then $500 and then $1000. Kept missing the boat.

I then kept watching Light Coin which i said i would buy at under 30 and then in march last year it dipped under 30 and i didn't buy. Since then has 10 bagged to 300.

Carbano sounds like it has the USP being a 3rd gen. I want to try and get into a few cryptos for a cpl of grand and then leave. Hopefully in 5/10 years will lead to me not having to work or clear a chunk of the mortgage. I am defo not in it small gains, i am chasing the life changing cash.

You can join my club - I'm thinking of starting a subscription based service based on doing the complete opposite of any decision I make - which 75% of the time is wrong. Sell Low, Buy High is what i end up doing. My only hope is long term it's gonna come good. :)

Wait until Sunday, you normally get a bit more of a discount on price with the markets shut.

I’ve been reading over this thread is any technical analysis carried out before plunging into this market? It does come across as a bit hit and hope. I don’t trade Crypto yet if you could read a chart it was indicated reasonably early there was going to be a change in trend to the downside. I’m actually quite annoyed I didn’t short BTC would of been a nice ride down.

When I get a minute I will post a chart and the indication hopefully might help people in future.

Very much so.

This channel for example gives great breakdowns of a coins background and potential in tech and in tokenomics.

This guy gives good overall advice and doesn't shill like many channels do.

there's plenty of chart reading, most in crypto land were expecting a small pull back. some say they knew it was going to fall so far, mostly aftertimers or those perpetually saying it will fall.

I actually pulled everything out yesterday luckily and I'm gonna sit on cash for a bit. Maybe stack up some more in copper and Nvidia !!

Last time there was a crypto crash in 2017 the whole of 2018 was a slow bleed. I wonder if it will be similar this time around. A year of sideways?

I'm hoping BTC pulls back to around $20k and then I will execute some huge long positions in ETH and possibly some other coins.
