Would be nice. Have seen my profit squeezed from a peak at 95% only a few weeks ago, down to 30%. Some of it is down to fresh investment, but mostly the recent market drop.

The crypto market will over time mature, more stability will arrive, seasons will extend but become less explosive.

I've avoided looking for the 20-50x coins and concentrated on accumulating the ones I know i'll do 2x-3x for bear market money and the long term holds.

A quick heads up to anyone who is holding Luna and particularly if you are staking on the terra network.

Take the time to read up on astroport here; https://docs.astroport.fi/astroport/
There are a number of very attractive options for airdrops, which I think are going to be very much worthwhile having.

If you are providing liquidity in any of the terra pools, it is worth looking at moving them to astroport in the next day or so, when phase 1 of the lockdrop ends.
If you are just staking Luna there will also be airdrops against any Luna in your wallet from September.

It is starting to feel like an echo chamber on this thread. I would like to keep the conversation going. What is apparent is that there is not one right way to get ahead, but you do need a strategy. Here is mine, I hope a few others will also share.

This is what my current holdings look like.


My aim is to have around half a dozen top coins, in which I have built up a holding. I am typically looking for coins I can stake and get a return on now or in the near future. Once I have built up a surplus over and above my desired bag size, I will then sell these off, hopefully when the market price looks attractive. I am not looking to cash out in the short term, so I will move funds towards UST. Right now I prefer to hold UST in a liquidity pair with Anchor, rather than to stake and get the excellent savings rate, but over time this may change. I am not looking to cash out anything for at least another 12 months, so quite a patient approach. The biggest risk in this approach is a large prolonged market dip. For example all my Luna is staked with a 21 day unlock. this means I have not sold any despite the new all time high.

I would suggest start small, with money you can afford to lose and maybe buy bitcoin. Currently bitcoin looks very volatile and it could dip quite sharply in the short term, but I think it will gather momentum in the next few months. I would suggest Coinbase is a good place to start. It isn't the best for value, but the process and presentation is relatively straightforward. What is good is that they have a number of tutorials on different alt coins, where they will give you small quantities if you watch a short video and answer some questions. You can then track the ups and downs of these crypto currencies without playing around with your own money.

this christmas get yourself some JEWEL. a lot of buzz about it and sort of thing bored degens will get involved in while sitting around with family. just to buy and hold for a few weeks, not get involved in the actual game.

As you say Coinbase on its own is good for free crypto though with its learn and earn its not much but it really helps with the learning curve.

how do you do this? is it a completely differnt platform or can you upgrade you baby acc to pro?

you just install pro and access using the same log in and password as coinbase and its free to transfer crypto between Coinbase and Coinbase pro which is instant. You have to register your bank account on pro to put cash into your account and it costs very little to transfer cash in compared to ordinary coinbase.

You then have both apps and can access either, Coinbase itself is a lot more informative and pro does take a little to get use to. Pro isn't the best description its should be called Coinbase Cheaper as Pro suggests its much more advanced but its not really, just different

Sorry yes you are right, its done as a bank transfer so free, I haven't put any cash in for a few months so forgot it was free.

I started using Binance but when the UK banks went all grumpy earlier in the year and stopped people putting any cash in or out I gave up with them, I might re-visit Binance again in the new year as you quite rightly say Coinbase is a bit limited.
