We should bat until be lose enough wickets for Notts to get the points they need to avoid relegation so meaning they might not be so bothered about batting well, if you see what I mean

I guess we owe it to Nottinghamshire to bat on until 130 overs are completed, so that they can get as many bowling points as possible.

At least that will give some meaning to this game.

I guess it comes down to the weather.

BBC Cow-watch (ie. establish the weather from how many cows are lying down...) seem to think there will be rain on Friday. It all depends on whether (no pun intended) the forecast(!!) overnight rain clears quickly.

500+ is more than enough to declare on, though I do agree that giving Notts a bit of a leg-up might work to our long-term advantage

Warnes taken a catch. About time he made some contribution, having bowled 35 overs without taking a wicket. Fat prick.

9 down for the Champions elect. Quick century from Anderson then have some fun with the Hants batsmen. Could be all over tonight with Lancs winning by an innings and 1000 runs.

First time Sussex have had six half centurians in the same innings since 1904. Some small consolation for just missing out on the title I suppose!?

and the fourth 100 partnership of the innings, any record there ???
