I read something a while back that MK Dons had acknowledged that the Wimbledon FC history now belonged to AFC Wimbledon. Not sure if the article was rubbish though.
That was certainly reported on radio 5, last year I think.

How could anyone like that Wimbledon 80's team.
Vinnie Jones, John Fashanu, Terry Gibson, Dennis Wise.
Christ they were cornering the market in nasty, horrible gits.

I certainly did not like them. They were anti football. But that doesn't change my view that their heirs are AFC Wimbledon.

It's interesting that the media now think of them as the same club. It would be more accurate to say MK Dons won the FA Cup in 1988.

Not strictly true, see below.

I believe that MK Dons returned all the original silverware that was won by the original Wimbledon to Merton council but insist that AFC Wimbledon are not entitled to them.

I quite liked them just because they brought something different to the top flight. They made it interesting. I'm not a fan of the long ball game, but it livened things up a bit - it was interesting to watch the top teams trying to defend against them, or failing to do so half the time.

Interesting that afc Wimbledon have displayed the silverware several times at their ground. I wonder if it'll end up back with them when their new ground is completed?

Has anyone seen Eric Young?

BT Sport got the 'crazy gang' back together for a documentary prior to the 'pool game.

They got them all except of our Eric who apparently has disappeared of the planet and is completely untraceable.
