Had the second AZ today...........no side effects so far...and had none for the first jab

Had mine yesterday evening, I've felt like shit most of today. My upper body aches, especially my back, neck and arm that was injected, thumping headache and lethargic. Had that weird hot but cold feeling like you do with a cold but it all seems to be subsiding now.
My Mrs just feels shattered and aching arm. She's build of sterner stuff though.

Second jab done. Don't feel bad about getting it after just seven weeks as there is a sign outside saying that anyone who is with our surgery and hasn't had a second jab should ask at the door. Guessing they are doing seconds all around before starting on a lower age range.

I had my first Thursday evening and felt similar for about 6 hours yesterday (about 24 hours after the jab). Still a slight headache and pain in the deltoid the injection went into, but apart from that all good now.

Covid modellers 'optimistic' third wave may not happen at all
New modelling to be presented to ministers ahead of stage three of reopening on May 17 will show the risk of a "third wave" of Covid cases in the UK has diminished dramatically and may not happen at all, according to experts.

The last set of projections, published by Sage on March 31, presented ministers with a difficult dilemma because they suggested a third wave of infections could be expected to kill another 15,000 to 20,000 people in the late summer if steps three and four of the exit roadmap were implemented as planned.

Ministers are expected to proceed with step three of the roadmap, with the return of indoor household mixing and indoor hospitality, as modelling teams which provided projections for ministers via the SPI-M subgroup of Sage are said to be more optimistic.

In hospital with Covid on 19 January: 38,838 - now 3.7% of that.
Covid admissions on 6 January: 4,394 - now 3.6% of that.

This is a 'No Shit Sherlock' thing for me - if the vaccines work, then a third wave simply ain't going to happen (all things being equal). All data points to the vaccines working.

Experts :shrug::shrug:

Had second jab yesterday along with the memsahib. Pfizer

Stiff arm today and started flagging at golf this morning and went home to bed and slept from lunch time to 6 o’clock!

Now feel fine and ready to give you all a big cuddle soon!

The good news now is that all coronavirus news here is good news..
Sadly however not worldwide.

The only smidgen of good news worldwide, is that early indications from India are that the Ox-AZ vaccine is working against severe illness against the Indian double variant.
