Some may question the ethics of vaccinating children, however I feel the fact it is safe qualifies it for "Good News".

Admissions look a little worrying - but the good news (I assume) is that's a mistake and it's actually 256 or 258?
The steady reduction in admissions, which have been coming down at a faster rate than infections for some time now, is definitely excellent news. And infections continuing to drop is a bonus!

Good perspective here :

I was able to go out and play football tonight for the first time since before Christmas. Best turnout for a long time and with most carry a little extra weight and lot more hair!

Will be sore tomorrow for sure - can't make out if I have cracked a rib or pulled a rib muscle as something hurts but who cares, it was just great to be able to play again.

Numbers update, great to see all the positive trends are continuing :

Infections - 4,479, rolling 7 day down 16.7%
Deaths - 51, rolling 7 day down 37.5% (320 in 7 days)
Admissions - 274, rolling 7 day down 23.5%
Jabs - 241k first and a whopping 405k second, cumulative 31.1m and 4.5m
In hospital - 3,957

Data updates will be flaky over the Easter period....will update on anything notable.

The new Moderna vaccine could arrive in Scotland as early as next week, Scotland's chief medical officer has said.

Dr Gregor Smith told the Scottish government's daily Covid briefing the jab was similar to the Pfizer vaccine.

It needs to be kept at low temperatures and will only be available at the very large vaccination centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

The National Clinical Director Professor Jason Leitch said the numbers coming to Scotland will be low at first - but described Moderna as a help and as an additional arm of the vaccine programme.

Assume we will all be getting this soon

Lots of positive news lately. I'm pleasantly surprised that new cases haven't sky rocketed since the kids went back to school. It's been a pretty consistent 5-6k a day and they've been back a month now?

Fantastic news on second jab numbers. The entire programme appears to effortlessly glide through all stages.

[In reality, I realise there are countless folk making this happen].

Fantastic news but effortless ?

I suspect there's a lot of people working their bollocks off (together with a small army of volunteers) to give that impression

But Fantastic news all the same

Bitchy, argumentative comments in a positive thread. When I mentioned the folk involved already.

This thread must make your blood boil :lolol:
