My other half has just had a call from our local surgery to go up there straight away and get her jab. Just turned 40 and no underlying health conditions, result!

Apparently they had 3,000 vaccines to get out today, once they’d done the pre booked over 50’s etc, they’ve been calling all over 40’s to get them done at short notice so quite a few of our friends have had theirs as well. Absolutely brilliant.

It’s the one time there’s no advantage in being a toy boy though! [emoji23]

Hospital stats are now at a small fraction of their January peak and continuing to fall still further.

Had my jab at the Racecourse today. Fantastic effort from all the staff that are involved up there, big thanks to them. From parking my car to having my jab and a few minutes just sitting in my car I was there for 17 mins.

Deaths - 33, rolling 7 day down 36.9%
Admissions - 437, rolling 7 day down 22.2%
Jabs - 752k and 121k - cumulative 26.8m and 2.2m
In hospital - 6,162

Yesterday was a record-breaking day for the vaccine rollout, with 873,784 people receiving a jab.

A huge thank you to everyone involved and please come forward to get your jab when you are invited to do so.

Hah! I was one of those "few"! Excellent that we as a country are doing such a good job with the rollout. I had mine (first jab) at Brighton Centre, and it seemed really well organised. Reminded me of missed holidays though, as there were a succession of Disney type queues!

I don’t think they will want to risk ****ing it up again and will err on the side of caution. Gyms are due to open in about 3 weeks again anyway, in which time the 50% of adults who’ve had their first vaccine will have had long enough time for it to cook.

1.34 million first jabs in last two days that is 1 in 50 or 2% of the population in two days. Quite amazing !! More than 27.5 million have had jab. From the Politicians to the Nurses. From the manufacturers to the delivery drivers, bloody well done !!! We Brits seem to know what we are doing..unlike the Europeans !!!

I hope they’re not, despite what Duncan-Smith and others are now rattling on about.

Under 50’s wouldn’t been vaccinated, with the danger of the South African or new variants being imported in big numbers from the chaos on the continent.

Slowly and steadily, sticking to the science and plan.

It is still 22 long days until National Beer Garden Day and it doesn't look like being brought forward yet.

But in Good News, they have never found a case of the virus being transmitted via a gym.

I had my first one on Saturday at selhurst. It was very busy but so well organised that I felt comfortable.
I received the oxford vaccine with no major side effects apart from a sore arm and feeling lethargic yesterday but ok to go to work today.
