Peston and Kuenssberg will no doubt pick holes in this as usual................

BBC : Coronavirus: UK 'likely to get close to or hit' 100,000 tests target

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52496227

I think this is a reasonably accurate representation of how our media reacts to anything that goes against their "we're doomed" approach

Back on the track of the thread ..from our favourite tweeter

‘’Regardless whether we hit the testing target, the capacity has been hugely increased.

The Government has made mistakes, but setting an ambitious target in an area where we were severely lacking is not one of them.

So much work to do, but we've seen massive progress.’’

Do you really think that Trump will take any interest in what's happening here?

The problem with siding with the government over journalists for their dishonest, negativity is that the Prime Minister was famously one of the most dishonest and negative journalists

And the problem with taking this thread slightly off tangent is that there are those who can't wait to deviate it further. Please keep this to good news. There are many other threads for the press and Johnson.

I'm very much against deviation. I don't see how the constant whining about the press being bias fits in with good news.

It's very simple. Post good news about the current situation on this thread. If you have something else to say, say it on another, more suitable thread. This is not the place to debate the press and politics.

It's clearly not that simple as you're not questioning the other non-relevant posts.

122,000 tests performed yesterday in the UK.

Yes, what a fantastic effort from all involved, including the inspirational Matt Hancock who was prepared to make it happen and shut the negative, anti-government gang and journalist up AGAIN.

Just like this government did with getting Brexit done in a time when everyone outside of the government said it could not happen.

This government 'gets stuff done' they work hard and together it's over to the negative scapegoating vultures to shut the feck up and get behind the government now.

122,000 daily tests and growing fast, what a fantastic effort by countless individuals and state/private organisations.

The premier global authority on virology, hack Sam Coates from Sky, in his loaded scattergun of questions seems peeved that the target was met. No doubt wanting home and satellite testing as not counting.
